The NWF (National Wildlife Federation) is embarking on a Geocaching Program. The pilot program will be held on Saturday, May the 15th 2010 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Walker Nature Education Center, 11450 Glade Drive Reston, VA. The program is designed to get children and families back to the outdoors by incorporating geocaching as a recreational activity (shades of The National Forum on Children & Nature, eh?). On 10 April 2010 NoVAGO will celebrate Spring in Lake Accotink Park. This will be a 2 part event starting with a CITO at 9AM, followed by a potluck social at 11AM. Everyone is welcome, NoVAGO members and non-members, old timers, and newcomers alike….come on out for some community service, followed by a great get together featuring good food, good people, and good times.
