NoVAGO Celebrates CITO Week with Multiple Fall Events

On Saturday, October 1st 2017 join the NoVAGO for our Fall CITO at Burke Lake Park. This is a popular place for hiking and families with some of the best trails around including a scenic 4.78-mile fitness/biking/hiking trail which loops around the 218-acre lake. It is also home to one of Virginia’s oldest active geocaches! This is an excellent opportunity to give back to Mother Earth by picking up trash and helping with trail maintenance at this great Virginia park all while earning the exclusive CITO 2017 souvenir. The normal $10 per day Park fee for noncounty residents will be waived by the Park for all CITO participants. You will need to tell the Park Ranger at the gate that you are here for “Geocaching” AND for the “NoVAGO Fall CITO Event”. The Lions Club Shelter will be our main base for the day.  In addition to the large shaded pavilion, there’s a playground and the lake right near by.  Sit and socialize, meet caching friends new and old, and relax from the work week.  We’ll fire up the grills around … Continue reading
