Nominations will be accepted until February 28th.
Each year NoVAGO honors some of the best caches that were placed in Northern Virginia. Nominations are an opportunity for you to recognize the efforts of your fellow NoVAGO cachers who have placed hides that you have enjoyed. This list is meant to help you think of some of the best geocaches you found last year.
Any questions about the 2024 awards should be sent to awards@novago.org

3. Is there a reason why “Best Log” has been left off the ballot for a second year in a row?
MJ Binski I apologize that I did not see your post earlier. We based our 2023 decision on this category primarily on the experience from the previous year – there were limited nominations and even more limited voting for that category.
I acknowledge that the people who enjoy well-written logs REALLY enjoy well-written logs. This is similar to the Photo category and resulted in the board taking action on the photos with the monthly photo contest. For 2025, the Board members are already considering options for highlighting entertaining logs. Hopefully, we reach a good approach for bringing many of those logs to the attention of area cachers.
