Position: Nominations & Elections Committee Member
Commitment: October–December (3 months)
Time Requirement: Flexible—but expect some planning/discussion early (October), followed by more active engagement in November and December.
Ideal For: Organized volunteers who enjoy thoughtful process and supporting your community’s leadership structure.

What’s Involved:

  • October: Help talk with members, share opportunity details, and lay the groundwork before nominations officially open in November.
  • November: Accept nominations for officer roles across NoVAGO, confirm nominees’ interest, and ensure a smooth nomination process.
  • December: Prepare ballots for any contested positions, oversee the election process, and deliver the final officer slate to members.

What You Bring:

  • A knack for organization and clear communication.
  • Discretion and respect for confidentiality — keeping nomination details private.
  • Availability to coordinate with fellow committee members and candidate volunteers during the nomination and election timeline.
  • Commitment to impartiality and fair process.
