Virginia State Parks are Free to Enter on New Years Day

Virginia State Parks are free to enter January 1st as a way to encourage everyone to start the New Year right. The hardest part may be deciding which park to visit and some of our past First Day Hike participants have visited more than one. The first 100 visitors to each park will receive a commemorative bumper sticker. Congratulations to both Zippy Finn and Serrabou! We also offer a big thank you to everybody who participated in the July 2018 photo of the month contest.  ZippyFinn’s photo was taken at Devil’s Bathtub on a visit to Virginia’s Jefferson National Forest. Serrabou ‘s photo was taken on the Patuxent River during his early morning FTF search of Songs of the South.
