It’s time for NoVAGO’s Summer CITO!

Join NoVAGO and other area geocachers for a summer CITO at Scott’s Run. A popular place for hiking and families, Scott’s Run experiences a high volume of traffic especially during the summer. Let’s help keep the trail beautiful and protect the flora and fauna by picking up while enjoying some hiking in the woods. Bring water to keep yourself hydrated and sturdy shoes for the nature trails. If you have gloves or trash grabbers, bring them along as well. Please note that both parking lots at Scott’s Run are rather small. and we recommend carpooling if possible. If demand dictates, we will expand the clean-up to nearby Riverbend Park (which affords additional parking opportunities). Keep an eye on the cache page for additional details.   Great Scott! NoVAGO 2017 Spring Event: Bull Run Bonanza Returns

NoVAGO invites to you lend a hand, picnic with friends, and celebrate the 2016 NoVAGO Cache Awards! We will kick off the day with the ¡No Bull! ¡Pick that up! CITO.  From 10 a.m. until 11:30 we will be helping clean up a portion of a long Cub Run north of Bull Run Regional Park.   This weekend kicks off the 2017 CITO weeks where you can earn souvenir for your Geocaching profile.  As this park is our host for Sunday’s picnic, it will be a great way to give back to the area! Once you are done visiting as many of the nominated caches as you want to you can… VOTE HERE! Voting is open to all NoVAGO members. Voting will be closed at midnight on March 31st. Ballot is hosted on a Google Form. If you encounter any problems or have any questions please send an email to 2016awards@novago.org. If you vote early and then change your mind, simply fill out another ballot. Your most recent submission will be counted. You do not need to have found a cache to vote for it. Spring CITO Season in Northern Virginia

Earth Day is almost upon us and one of the great ways geocachers can give back to the community is by hosting CITO events.  NoVAGO is proud to host an event created for folks to come and learn how to plan and execute a successful CITO.  Geocachers of all levels are invited to attend and learn about the resources that are available to help you make great CITO events.
