Love Favorite Points

Favorite points, marked by a heart icon, is a Premium feature that let geocachers celebrate standout caches and track memorable adventures. If a cache brings you joy, giving it a Favorite point is a simple way to say thanks and help guide fellow geocachers to a great find. Reclaiming points from archived caches give you additional points to keep spreading the love.

Here are a few fund facts about how Favorite Points work:

📚 Memory Keeper: The “Favorites” tab on your Lists page is a useful tool. You may use the list to recommend caches. It is an especially useful tool when looking for nominations for the NoVAGO Annual Awards which occurs in the Spring of each year.

💚 Appreciation Made Easy: Every cache found is a smile, but haven’t we found caches that just wow you? A quick tap of the heart thanks the cache owner for their creativity and effort.

🗺️ Map Highlights: Highly Favorited caches are marked on the map. When traveling, this is a helpful feature when selecting caches to find during your visit. Cachers visiting our area will also find it useful if we highlight the caches that we have enjoyed finding.

🎯 Motivation Boost: Premium members earn One Favorite point for every 10 caches they find. (Adventure Lab finds, duplicate finds, and finds on your owned caches are not included.)  The more caches you find, the more favorite points you earn!

🔄 Archived Caches: You can choose to remove a Favorite point from an archived geocache and it will be in your Favorite point allotment. It may take a bit of time, but this will allow you to highlight newer caches. Visit your Favorites List to find out which of your Favorited caches are archived. You may choose not to remove a favorite from a truly memorable cache.
