Third Tuesday Beer and Burger Events

IMPORTANT UPDATE:
The TTBB has changed locations effective with the next meeting on Tuesday August 17, 2010. We will now be meeting at the Fuddrucker's in Annandale

It still will be the same day/time (Every third tuesday of each month starting at 6:30 and going until I'm the last person standing).

We needed to change locations because financially, Fuddrucker's was teetering and they decided to close some of their restaurants and unfortunately the one in Tysons was one that was selected for closure. I still wanted to keep the event at a Fuddrucker's location, so I looked at both the Annandale and Fairfax locations. Location wise - both had pros and cons but ultimately it came down to ambiance:

Annandale was busy, yet friendly. The food looked good, the fixings bar looked clean, fresh, and well stocked. Fairfax disappointed, the staff looked just as depressed as the place itself which in a word felt "dirty". The fixings bar looked stale, the ketchup station was a mess, and they messed up my order. Additionally Fairfax lacked a semi-private area for us to gather in.

So for those who have to go even further (like those coming from points west) I'm sorry, but Annandale really was the only place to go. I hope everyone can continue to make the new location, and hope that the new location proves to be better for those who have been on the fence about coming.

The NOVA Silent Suppers (Deaf people, students learning sign language, etc.) used to meet at that location occasionally. Service wasn't super fast, but the food was good and the staff/management was always looking out to make sure we were happy. I'm sure you'll have good luck. Once my wife finishes her Tuesday night classes (stain glass), I'll try to stop by.
